BVSc (Hons) (Syd), MANZCVS (Small Animal Medicine), Veterinarian
Dr Amy Lee is a female Veterinarian.
Amy graduated in 2005 from the University of Sydney with 1st class honours. After graduation, she moved to Port Macquarie where she worked for 4 years in an ASAV (Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association) accredited hospital. Here she did a variety of work ranging from routine consultations and surgery, to caesarians for the areas breeders and emergency work, to weight loss clinics and avian medicine and surgery. After returning to Sydney in 2009, Amy successfully passed her Small Animal Medicine exams with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. She worked in a variety of small animal clinics including the RSPCA, before settling at West Blacktown Veterinary Clinic.
Amy has a strong interest in small animal medicine, including kidney failure, heart disease, respiratory problems, medical management of arthritis and endocrine disease. She completed her ultrasonography course in 2016 and routinely performs abdominal ultrasonography. Amy also loves "pocket pets" including birds, rabbits, rats, mice and ferrets, has a strong interest in both canine and feline behaviour, and enjoys treating and preventing dental disease.
Aside from adoring animals and loving her job, Amy's biggest motivator in her work is to keep animals happy and pain free, and help her clients understand their pets health concerns so they can make informed choices.
