BVSc (Melb), MANZCVS (Small Animal Medicine), Veterinarian
Dr Andrew Kapsis is a male Veterinarian.
Andrew graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1996 and joined the Lort Smith team in 2005. As Head Veterinarian – Inpatients, he is committed to improving the processes, procedures and veterinary care provided to all hospital admissions. Andrew enjoys all aspects of veterinary science but has a particular interest in internal medicine of both cats and dogs. He became a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Small Animal Medicine in 2016. At Lort Smith Andrew is involved in a varied and often complex caseload, which has been made all the more interesting following the acquisition of a brand new 16 slice CT scanner. He says the foreign bodies he’s often called on to remove from the gastrointestinal tracts of animals are always memorable – everything from billiard balls to rubber ducks!
