Dr Andrew Scott Levien is a male Veterinarian.

Dr Andrew Levien graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 with first-class honours, receiving numerous academic awards.

For the first three years of his professional career, he worked as a general practitioner in Sydney while simultaneously completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Studies from Murdoch University.

In 2009, he moved to London to complete a one-year rotating internship at the prestigious Royal Veterinary College, University of London. Following this, in 2010, he accepted a position at Louisiana State University, USA, where he completed a surgical internship.

In 2011, he commenced a three-year surgical residency at the preeminent Animal Medical Center (AMC) in Manhattan, New York.

After completing his residency, Andrew was a practising referral surgeon in Washington DC, USA, before moving back home to Australia in 2017.

By virtue of passing rigorous surgical examinations, Andrew became a Diplomate of the American (ACVS) and European Colleges of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS), as well as a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists.

Andrew has been published in a number of veterinary journals, including the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Journal of Small Animal Practice, Australian Veterinary Journal, and Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. His research includes the first-ever veterinary transjugular liver biopsy series in dogs.

Versed in all complex orthopaedic, neurological, soft tissue (including oncologic) and interventional radiologic procedures, his special interests include cruciate repair (TPLO/TTA), fracture repair and joint replacement (certified in total hip, micro total hip, knee, and elbow (CUE) surgery).
