BSc, BVMS, Veterinarian
Dr Ben McRae is a male Veterinarian.
It wasn’t a single defining moment that led Dr Ben McRae to become a vet… it was just the career he has always wanted to pursue. Ben completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at Perth’s Murdoch University in 2013. Since then he has worked in general practice and emergency settings around Australia.
While he is still working in general practice alongside his role as an ER Doctor at the VSOS emergency hospital, he was drawn to VSOS because of the respected team and the chance to be part of a world-class animal treatment centre.
When they launched the new hospital, I wanted to be part of it. To be involved in something brand new, using the incredible equipment in the hospital was really exciting.
Ben’s approach to his work is calm and rational… which is essential in an emergency environment. He is experienced, knowledgeable and shares the VSOS philosophy towards patient care.
Ben has a particular interest in surgery and has completed a further certificate in surgery at the University of Sydney. With the experienced team at VSOS, he is certainly in the right place to pursue his interest in surgery.
