Dr Chris Wolmarans is a male Veterinarian.
It was a blessing to be raised in a small farming community in South Africa. After graduating from Vet school in 1997, I worked in mixed rural practice.
Whilst at University I met the love of my life, Marian. Together with our 3 children, Louis, Paula and Fritz we arrived in Australia in 2009. Our pet family has grown over the years and now includes Hannah (Airedale) Chess (Jack Russel) and Tombi (Wire hair pointer).
I joined Family Vet Centre in 2010.Our team consists of very committed, caring and professional staff with vast experience. We appreciate our clients as they take very good care of their pets. It is truly a privilege to be a part of this very special human - animal bond.
I enjoy soft tissue surgery and have a particular interest in early detection and prevention of Hip dysplasia through the PennHIP system.
In late 2017 we started Our Family’s Mobile Vet. This has been a very rewarding part of my career. Dealing with everything from conception, pregnancy checks, whelping checks, vaccinations and sadly, home euthanasia.
Providing at home service often provides a much more relaxed environment for the vet, pet and family alike.
