Dr Mara King is a female Veterinarian.
Wodonga is my hometown and after studying in Melbourne I returned to take up a position as veterinarian at Wodonga Animal Hospital. Fifteen years later we became part of Family Vet Centre. Many of the Wodonga Animal Hospital team joined me in the move to Family Vet Centre and most of us are still here. Family Vet Centre is an amazing place to work, it is such a privilege to work alongside such a talented and passionate group of vets and nurses.
In 2012 I studied acupuncture becoming a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. By combining acupuncture with conventional treatments it has been possible to achieve even greater quality of life for many of our canine and feline patients. I just love that placing a few small needles can make a patient feel better, sometimes the improvement is truly astounding.
In 2019 I stepped into the role of Practice Coordinator. Although I no longer perform general veterinary consultations, I still have the joy of providing hands on patient care with acupuncture and the pleasure of getting to know some of our delightful clients.
