Dr Matthew Woodruff

Dr Matthew Woodruff is a male Veterinarian.

Dr Matt Woodruff graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2002. Since graduating, Matt has worked as an associate and managed both general and emergency veterinary practices including being the inaugural manager of the Adelaide Veterinary Emergency Centre in Norwood.

In 2009, Matt achieved membership of the ANZCVS in Small Animal Medicine. In October 2012, Matt founded the medicine referral service at the Adelaide Animal Emergency and Referral Centre and commenced a residency in Small Animal Medicine with supervised training at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre. As part of his training, Matt completed an externship at the Flint Animal Cancer Centre at Colorado State University, one of the largest animal cancer centres in the world.

Matt has two scientific publications including the treatment of canine nasal tumours with chemotherapy as well as a case report detailing a dog with spinal empyema and endocarditis. While enjoying all aspects of referral medicine, Matt’s major clinical interests include cardiology, respiratory disease, oncology, gastroenterology and the utilization and interpretation of diagnostic imaging within the general medical investigation. He has extensive experience with endoscopy, ultrasound and echocardiography and focuses on providing a holistic approach to medicine while working closely with other departments to optimize patient care.
