Dr Nick Pretorius

Dr Nick Pretorius is a male Veterinarian.

Nick grew up in Queensland completing a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) and a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland in 2012. After graduation, Nick moved to Melbourne and completed an internship in Emergency Critical Care at Animal Accident and Emergency followed by a modified internship in Emergency Critical Care and Internal Medicine. Following the internship, Nick continued to work in Emergency and Critical care. Nick moved to Adelaide after spending a year in the Navy and started working at Adelaide Animal Emergency and Referral Centre. In October 2019, Nick had the opportunity to start a residency program with the European College of Veterinary Surgeons at Adelaide Animal Emergency and Referral Centre. Nick is a surgical resident, nearing completion of a formal residency pathway. He is aiming to sit his ECVS surgical specialist exams at the next opportunity which is in early 2024. Nick’s interests include oromaxillofacial surgery and neurology.
