BVSc (Hons), BSc, DVM (Murdoch), Veterinarian
Dr Pragya Lama is a female Veterinarian.
My story goes, while growing up in India I have always been surrounded by animals. At one point we even had 4 dogs and 2 cats and of course the intermittent rescues- birds, bunnies, nilgai calves and more! My first dog Sheeba, who I grew up with from when I was a year old and my exposure to all kinds of animals, well-housed as well as strays and the wild were critical factors that motivated me to become a skilled veterinarian.
I was able to realise my lifelong dream in 2020 when I graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Murdoch University. I also have a Masters in Wildlife Conservation from Wildlife Institute of India. I am passionate about animal health and enjoy general practice with a keen interest in soft tissue surgery and small animal emergency medicine.
I moved to the Wodonga-Albury region as it reminds me of my hometown of Darjeeling and also offers just the right mix of city and regional life. I have been fortunate to have such a warm, supportive and wonderful team to work with.
